Our Process
Payment
After reading the pages on this site, if you wish to ask us to write a eulogy, go to the Shopping Cart and follow the prompts. The cost of a written eulogy is AUD350 +GST.
Questionnaire
When we have received your payment, we will email a questionnaire for you (and other family members and friends) to fill out the details of the person's life. It would be helpful if you could send a photo of the person. When you have answered the questions and provided some photos, you can send it to us and we can begin writing.
First Draft
We may need to email you back to seek clarification on details we may not have received or we may not understand. We want to make sure we have worded things correctly and that names, dates and perceptions are right. We will write the first draft of the eulogy in the style that you wish and send it to you. If you want any adjustments (additions or deletions) do suggest these and they can be done in the fullness of time
Final Draft
Hopefully, you will be happy with the first draft as it is. If you have additions or adjustments, these will be done and the final draft will be emailed to you. The eulogy will be created in the form of a speech (which is different from an essay or written obituary) so that you and/or another family member can deliver this at the funeral or appropriate occasion.
Respond
Think about who might respond to the questions in the questionnaire. The person who is the subject of the eulogy may well like to have input and ensure that what is said is accurate, what details and views are to be included and what should be omitted. Other family members may well have different insights and valuable angles into the life of your loved one.
Take time to fill in your responses to the questions to allow your memories to reveal important insights. Sometimes the best responses come after mulling over and meditating on the life of the person about whom the eulogy is written.
